Vancouver, BC (Sports Network) - The Vancouver Canucks have signed forward Jeff Tambellini to a one-year deal.
As per club policy, terms of the contract were not released.
Tambellini, a first-round pick by Los Angeles in 2003, has registered 18 goals and 46 points in 180 career games with the Kings and New York Islanders. The 26-year-old left wing had seven goals and seven assists in 36 games with New York last season.
Tambellini's father, Steve, is a former NHLer currently serving as the general manager of the Edmonton Oilers, who are a division rival of the Canucks.
