Minnesota United's Dayne St. Clair is Major League Soccer's Goalkeeper of the Year.
The 28-year-old Pickering, Ont. native was announced as the award winner on Monday.
The Canada international appeared in 30 league matches for the Loons this season, posting 10 clean sheets. He stopped 111 of the 139 shots on target he faced and his .799 save percentage put him in the 95th percentile. St. Clair's +0.32 PSxG-GA (post-shot expected goals minus goals allowed) puts him in the 93rd percentile among his peers.
Originally taken with the seventh overall selection of the 2019 MLS SuperDraft out of Maryland, St. Clair is in his sixth MLS season. For his career, St. Clair is 62-33-45 with 39 clean sheets. He was named an MLS All-Star for a second time this season.
Internationally, St. Clair has been capped 17 times by Canada, including eight times in 2025. He will compete with Maxime Crepeau for Canada's No. 1 shirt at next summer's 2026 FIFA World Cup.
St. Clair becomes just the second Canadian to win Goalkeeper of the Year following Vancouver's Pat Onstad who earned the honour in 2003 and 2005 as a member of the San Jose Earthquakes.
