OTTAWA — Kaylee Hunter scored the lone goal in the 32nd minute as league-leading AFC Toronto defeated Ottawa Rapid FC 1-0 on Friday.

Esther Okoronkwo sprung Hunter with a lead pass and Hunter got around Rapid goalkeeper Melissa Dagenais before burying the shot into the net.

Hunter is second in the Northern Super League in goals with 13, only behind Ottawa's Delaney Baie Pridham, who has 18.

The victory extended Toronto's (14-6-3) unbeaten streak to five games (4-0-1).

Meanwhile, Ottawa (10-7-6) had its four-game unbeaten run snapped.

Toronto next visits Calgary on Oct. 4, while Ottawa welcomes Vancouver on Oct. 8.
