Canadian midfielder Liam Millar returned to the pitch on Tuesday afternoon after being sidelined for nearly a year with an ACL injury.
The 26-year-old was a second half substitute for his club team Hull City of the English Football League Championship.
Millar entered the game with his side down 2-0 against Preston and was effective during his time on the pitch by creating scoring opportunities for Hull City.
Hull City scored twice in the second half as the game ended with a 2-2 draw.
Millar suffered a torn ACL last October in a match against Burnley.
The Brampton, Ont., native joined Hull from Basel last summer and had his first season with the Tigers cut short when he suffered the knee injury just 11 games into his tenure with his new team.
Millar has 35 caps with the Canadian national team, where he has started 17 matches. He is in the mix to be named to next summer's team for the FIFA World Cup.
