Noah Philp is staying close to home.
The Canmore, Alta., native signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Edmonton Oilers on Monday, the team announced. The deal will have an average annual value of $775,000.
Philp, 26, made his NHL debut with the Oilers last season and recorded two assists in 15 games. He also had 19 goals and 16 assists in 55 games with the Bakersfield Condors in the AHL.
The Oilers signed the undrafted free agent prior to the 2021-22 season after he spent two seasons with the University of Alberta Golden Bears.
