Jason Dickinson was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks, along with a second-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, by the Vancouver Canucks on Friday.
The Canucks received defenseman Riley Stillman.

The 27-year-old forward has 74 points (30 goals, 44 assists) in 283 regular-season games and nine points (five goals, four assists) in 40 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
"You want to make sure you have [salary cap] flexibility moving forward here," Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin said. "Yeah, it was part of it. But we're also happy to get Riley back.
"Jason Dickinson is a good hockey player too, so it's obviously a never easy decision. I think, in the end, I think both clubs were happy about [the trade]."
Dickinson was selected by the Stars in the first round (No. 29) of the 2013 NHL Draft.Stillman had 12 points (two goals, 10 assists) in 52 games for the Blackhawks last season. He led their defensemen in hits per 60 minutes (9.34) and ranked fifth on the team in blocked shots (67). He has 18 points (three goals, 15 assists) in 108 regular-season games with Chicago and the Florida Panthers, and no points in three postseason games.
The 24-year-old was selected by the Florida Panthers in the fourth round (No. 114) of the 2016 NHL Draft and was acquired by the Blackhawks on April 8, 2021.
"We see him as a third-pairing defenseman, character guy," Allvin said. "Hard to play against. [He can] help us with our depth there."
