Nick Suzuki has resumed skating and is expected to return to practice next week.
The forward, who was named captain Sept. 12, sustained a lower-body injury in a collision with defenseman Joel Edmundson during an informal training session prior to training camp.
Edmundson is making progress recovering from a lower-back injury, though he remains out indefinitely. He missed most of last season because of a back injury.
Defenseman Madison Bowey is day to day with a lower-body injury.
