The BC Lions defence recorded seven turnovers in holding the Saskatchewan Roughriders to a 28-10 score on Friday Night Football, though star quarterback Nathan Rourke was forced to leave with a foot injury. 

Rourke completed 22-of-31 passes for 375 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions before exiting due to the injury in the middle of the fourth quarter. 

Lucky Whitehead caught nine passes for 136 yards and a touchdown, and veteran Bryan Burnham also added five catches for 67 yards and a touchdown. 

Cody Fajardo left the game in the first half for the Roughriders, after completing just eight of 13 passes for 41 yards and two interceptions. 

Justin McInnis had a coming-out party of sorts, catching his first career touchdown pass and adding 111 yards. 

The Lions improved to 8-1, while the Roughriders dropped to 5-5.
