Marcus Foligno will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety at a date and time to be decided.
The Minnesota Wild forward is facing discipline for kneeing against Winnipeg Jets forward Adam Lowry.
The incident occurred with 8:54 remaining in the third period of Minnesota's 2-0 loss at Canada Life Centre on Tuesday. Foligno was assessed a minor penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct and a major for fighting on the play.
The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: kneeing. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
