{allcanada} Canucks' Demko, Halak, Garland removed from COVID-19 protocol, rejoining team

 

Vancouver Canucks goalies Thatcher Demko and Jaroslav Halak, and forward Conor Garland have been removed from COVID-19 health and safety protocols and will rejoin the team in Calgary, the team announced Thursday.

No. 1 netminder Demko entered protocols on Jan. 23 missing three games, he last played Jan 18. in a 3-1 win over the Nashville Predators. The 26-year-old has posted a 17-14-1 record with a 2.62 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage over 32 appearances this season.

Halak entered protocol on Jan. 16. Halak has posted a 1-4-2 record with a 2.59 GAA and a .915 save percentage over eight appearances this season.

Garland has 10 goals and 14 assists for 24 points in 37 games this season. He last suited up on Jan. 15 during a 4-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Canucks have lost three in a row, and six of their past eight. They visit the Winnipeg Jets Thursday.
