The Montreal Canadiens have extended their pause on all team activities through Saturday as they deal with a COVID-19 outbreak.
The Canadiens have 22 players and two staff members in the NHL's COVID protocol.
The Canadiens paused team activities to deal with the outbreak after last Saturday's 5-2 loss to Florida. The pause was originally slated to run through Thursday.
The Canadiens say they will return to practice on Sunday.
Montreal's next scheduled game is on Jan. 12 in Boston, a game originally scheduled to be played in Montreal.
The pause also includes the AHL's Laval Rocket -- Montreal's top farm club.
