Jeff Petry will not travel with the Canadiens for their game against the Nashville Predators on Saturday (7 p.m. ET; NHLN, TVAS, CITY, SNE, BSSO, ESPN+, NHL LIVE) because of an upper-body injury.
The defenseman played 21:01 in a 4-1 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday. He has two assists in 25 games this season.
Montreal recalled defenseman Corey Schueneman from Laval of the American Hockey League.
Canadiens forward Josh Anderson sustained an upper-body injury Thursday and is expected to be out 2-4 weeks. Anderson has scored 13 points (seven goals, six assists) in 25 games this season.
