The Edmonton Oilers re-signed forward Cooper Marody to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced Saturday.
The deal is worth $750,000 at the NHL level. Marody has spent the past three years with the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League and tied for the team lead last season with 36 points recording 21 goals and 15 assists. He also had one goal and two assists in six playoff games as the Condors captured the AHL Pacific Division championship.
The 24-year-old from Brighton, Michigan, was a sixth-round pick by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2015. He was traded to the Oilers in March 2018 and appeared in six games with Edmonton during the 2018-19 season.
