The Edmonton Oilers re-signed goaltender Stuart Skinner to a two-year, two-way contract with an average annual value of $750,000, the team announced Sunday.
Skinner spent the past season with the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League. He backstopped the club to the Pacific Division championship and led the AHL in wins (20), minutes played (1,787) and saves (753) and tied for the league lead with two shutouts.
The 22-year-old from Edmonton also started one game for the Oilers, making his NHL debut on Jan. 31. Skinner stopped 33 shots in the 8-5 win over the Ottawa Senators.
Edmonton drafted Skinner in the third round, 78th overall, in 2017.
