{allcanada} Oilers' Josh Archibald to have hearing Monday for hit on Jets' Logan Stanley

Edmonton Oilers forward Josh Archibald will have a hearing on Monday with the NHL's department of player safety for a low-bridge hit on Winnipeg Jets' Logan Stanley in Game 3 of their first-round Stanley Cup Playoff series.

The department of player safety described the illegal hit as "clipping."

The play occurred with 8:49 left to play in the third period, when Archibald skated toward Stanley at the blue line and bent down to deliver a hit, causing his upper-body to collide with his opponent's knees. The call on the ice was a minor penalty for tripping.

Edmonton went on to blow a 4-1 lead, allowing Winnipeg to rise up to 3-0 in their first-round series.
