The Ottawa Senators announced Thursday that they have signed forward Shane Pinto to a three-year, entry-level contract. The exact terms of the deal were not released.
Pinto, 20, will report to the Senators after a mandatory seven-day quarantine period.
The forward joins Ottawa after recently finishing his second season with the North Dakota Fighting Hawks, where he led the team with 15 goals over 28 games.
"Shane should be very proud of what was an exceptional collegiate career," said Senators general manager Pierre Dorion in a team-released statement. "He's very mature for his age and already possesses great gap and stick detail within his game. He's an exemplary leader and a winner who we're looking forward to seeing in our lineup."
Pinto was selected 32nd overall by the Senators back in the 2019 NHL Draft.
