{allcanada} Perry could make season debut for Canadiens

Corey Perry could make his season debut against the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena on Saturday (7 p.m. ET; CBC, SN, CITY, TVAS, NHL.TV).

The forward, who signed a one-year contract with the Canadiens on Dec. 28, was recalled from the taxi quad with forwards Paul Byron and Joel Armia injured.

Byron sustained a foot injury in the third period of a 7-3 win against the Canucks on Thursday after he was hit by a slap shot by Canadiens defenseman Shea Weber. Armia sustained a concussion in the third period on a high hit from Canucks defenseman Tyler Myers, who received a match penalty.

Perry scored 21 points (five goals, 16 assists) in 57 games with the Dallas Stars last season and helped them reach the Stanley Cup Final, where they lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning in six games.
