Toronto Maple Leafs centre Alexander Kerfoot was "banged up" during the team's practice on Tuesday, head coach Sheldon Keefe announced.
Keefe added that Kerfoot is not expected to skate Wednesday but his status beyond that is unknown.
Kerfoot, 26, is entering his second season with the Maple Leafs after being acquired from the Colorado Avalanche in 2019. He had nine goals and 28 points in 65 games last season.
On the first day of camp, Kerfoot was centring the third line between Zach Hyman and newcomer Jimmy Vesey.
