The Calgary Flames have signed veteran defenceman Michael Stone to a one-year, two-way contract worth $700,000, the team announced Monday.
The 30-year-old rearguard had previously been invited to the Flames' training camp on a PTO.
Stone, a native of Winnipeg, had seven points in 33 games for Calgary last season.
Over the course of his nine-year career, Stone has suited up for 472 games with the Coyotes and Flames, recording 124 points.
