Braden Holtby's move to his new home appears to have slowed to a crawl.
In a plea posted Wednesday on Twitter, Brandi Holtby, the wife of the star goalie and off-season free-agent signing of the Vancouver Canucks, asked for help in securing export papers from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service because their two pet tortoises are stuck at U.S.-Canada border. Oh, yeah, and her husband, Braden Holtby, too.
Hey Twitter, does anyone have any sweet connections with Federal Fish and Wildlife that could push some export papers along in order to get two happy tortoises across the border? We miss our boys!

No, we didn't know we needed an export permit (we did do the import permit for the Canadian side) so now Braden is stuck at the border with two tortoises

Brandi Holtby explained the holdup stems from the fact that the couple didn't know they needed an export permit in addition to the import permit they acquired for the Canadian side of the border.
The Canucks signed the long-time Washington Capitals netminder and 2015-16 Vezina Trophy winner to a two-year, $8.6-million contract to replace the outgoing Jacob Markstrom.
