Montreal Alouettes running back James Wilder Jr. has decided to retire from the Canadian Football League due to the uncertainty around the 2020 season. CFL Football Insider Dave Naylor reported Wilder has accepted a coaching job at his high school alma mater in Tampa Bay, and he'll also be running a fitness facility under his name.

The 27-year-old Wilder spent the first three seasons of his CFL career with the Toronto Argonauts, finishing last year with 464 rushing yards and 415 receiving yards, before signing with the Alouettes earlier this off-season. He was part of the Argos' Grey Cup winning squad in 2017.
