Edmonton Oilers winger Kailer Yamamoto is week-to-week with an ankle injury, the team announced Tuesday.
In a corresponding move, the club recalled forward Markus Granlund from their AHL affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors.
It is unclear when Yamamoto suffered the injury. He skated for 16:58 and had an assist in the Oilers' last game, a 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday.
The 21-year-old has 21 points in 21 games since being recalled at the end of December.
Yamamoto, who clocks in at five-foot-eight and 153 pounds, has found success lining up next to Leon Draisaitl and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.
He was the Oilers' first-round pick (22nd overall) in the 2017 NHL Draft.
