Tyler Motte will be out 4-6 weeks for the Vancouver Canucks because of a shoulder injury.
The forward was injured on a hit by San Jose Sharks defenseman Erik Karlsson during the second period of the Canucks' 5-2 win Wednesday.
Motte has five points (three goals, two assists) in 24 games this season.
Vancouver placed Motte on injured reserve Thursday and recalled forwards Zack MacEwen and Justin Bailey from Utica of the American Hockey League.
The Canucks (30-18-4), who lead the Pacific Division, defeated the New York Islanders 4-3 in overtime Saturday. They play at the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday (2 p.m. ET; ESPN+ SN360, SNW, SNP, FS-CR, NHL.TV).
