{allcanada} Canucks’ Markstrom to be re-evaluated in two weeks after lower-body procedure

Vancouver Canucks goaltender Jacob Markstrom underwent a minor lower-body procedure and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, Canucks GM Jim Benning announced.

Markstrom suffered what appeared to be a knee injury during Saturday's win over the Boston Bruins and had an MRI in Montreal on Monday. He then flew back to Vancouver on Tuesday to meet with team doctors.

Thatcher Demko will continue to fill in as the team's starter with Louis Domingue, acquired earlier Monday from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for Zane McIntyre, as the backup.

In 43 games this season, Markstrom has a 23-16-4 record with a 2.75 GAA and a .918 save percentage. Demko has a 10-6-2 record in 20 games this season with a 3.03 GAA and a .905 save percentage.
