SARNIA, Ont. — Forward Blade Jenkins put an end to the Sarnia Sting's season when he found himself in the right place at the right time.
Jenkins scored at 11:33 of overtime, picking up a rebound in the slot and backhanding it home as the Saginaw Spirit edged Sarnia 5-4 on Thursday to sweep their Ontario Hockey League best-of-seven first-round series.
Owen Tippett, Damien Giroux, DJ Busdeker and Ryan McLeod also hit the scoresheet for the Spirit.
Ryan McGregor had a pair of goals while Franco Sproviero and Justin McCombs also scored for the Sting.
Ivan Prosvetov made 28 saves for Saginaw as Cameron Lamour turned away 50 shots for Sarnia.

GENERALS 5 PETES 2
PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Anthony Salinitri struck twice, including the winner at 15:11 of the third, and Kyle Keyser made 35 saves as Oshawa toppled the Petes for a 3-1 lead in their first-round matchup.
Kyle MacLean, Brett Neumann and William Ennis also scored for the Generals, who host Game 5 on Saturday.
Declan Chisholm and Nick Robertson had goals for the Petes. Hunter Jones turned away 22-of-26 shots in defeat.

KNIGHTS 5 SPITFIRES 2
WINDSOR, Ont. — Adam Boqvist scored twice, two nights after his first career four-goal performance, as London swept the Spitfires in four straight to advance to Round 2.
Alex Formenton chipped in with four helpers while Kevin Hancock, William Lochead and Billy Moskal also scored for the Knights. Jordan Kooy made 23 saves for the win.
Tyler Angle and Connor Corcoran found the back of the net for Windsor. Kari Piiroinen kicked out 24 shots in defeat.

ICEDOGS 5 BATTALION 3
NORTH BAY, Ont. — Philip Tomasino scored once and set up two more as Niagara beat the Battalion in Game 4 to move within one victory of advancing out of the first round.
Oliver Castleman, Drew Hunter, Jack Studnicka and Elijah Roberts also scored and Stephen Dhillon made 23 saves for the IceDogs, who host Game 5 on Friday with a 3-1 series lead.
North Bay was kept in it by goaltender Christian Propp, who stopped 43-of-47 shots. Luke Moncada, Brad Chenier and Theo Calvas supplied the offence.

STORM 5 RANGERS 1
KITCHENER, Ont. — Alexey Toropchenko had two goals and Anthony Popovich made 26 saves as Guelph ended the Rangers' season with a four-game, first-round sweep.
MacKenzie Entwistle, Nick Suzuki and Cedric Ralph rounded out the scoring for the Storm.
Rickard Hugg replied for Kitchener, which got 36 saves from Luke Richardson.
