The Detroit Red Wings have claimed forward Jacob De La Rose off waivers from the Montreal Canadiens, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports.
De La Rose was placed on waivers by the Canadiens on Tuesday and has yet to play a game this season after suffering a cardiac episode at the end of training camp.
The 23-year-old has appeared in 119 games over four seasons with the Canadiens, scoring eight goals and 19 points.
