Ryan Dzingel, who tied for the Ottawa Senators lead last season with 23 goals, was placed on injured reserve Friday because of a lower-body injury.
Also going on injured reserve were defenseman Cody Ceci (upper-body injury), and forward Alex Formenton (concussion).
Dzingel, a forward, has four points (two goals, two assists) in four games. Ceci has no points in four games and is second on the Senators in average ice time per game (21:51). Formenton has no points and five shots on goal in four games.
No timetable was listed for their returns, but going on injured reserve means each will be out for a minimum of seven days; each is expected to miss at least two games.
Defenseman Christian Jaros and forward Nick Paul were recalled from Belleville of the American Hockey League.
The Senators host the Los Angeles Kings at Canadian Tire Centre on Saturday (2 p.m. ET; TSN5, RDS, FS-W, NHL.TV).
