PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Arthur Kaliyev had two goals and two assists as the Hamilton Bulldogs thrashed Peterborough 7-1 on Saturday to snap the Petes' three-game win streak to open the Ontario Hockey League season.

Matthew Strome's marker at 8:28 of the first period stood as the game-winning goal for the Bulldogs (2-1-0).

Liam Stevens added two goals, while Tim Fleischer and Isaac Nurse added singles for Hamilton.

Cameron Butler was the lone Pete (3-1-0) to find the back of the net.

Nick Donofrio kicked out 24 shots for Hamilton. Tye Austin combined with Hunter Jones for 22 saves for Peterborough.

The Petes went 1 for 6 on the power play. The Bulldogs went 1 for 8 with the man advantage.

The Bulldogs' Navrin Mutter was given a game misconduct for cross checking at 19:53 of the third period.

ERIE, Ont. — Ryan Dugas made 27 saves as the Kingston Frontenacs shut out the Erie Otters.

Ryan Cranford potted the game-winning goal for the Frontenacs (2-2-0) at 14:40 of the first period. Brett Neumann, Jason Robertson and Dennis Golovatchev also scored for the Frontenacs.

Daniel Murphy turned away 16 shots for Erie (1-2-0).

FLINT, Ont. — Liam Foudy had a goal and an assist as the London Knights vanquished the Flint Firebirds, who are winless to start the season.

Cole Tymkin scored the game-winning goal for the Knights at 18:53 of the first period. Dalton Duhart and Connor McMichael also picked up goals for the Knights (2-1-0). Jake Durham and Ethan Keppen scored for the Firebirds (0-4-0).

Jordan Kooy turned aside 21 shots for London. Luke Cavallin kicked out 27 shots for Flint.

NIAGARA, Ont. — Bradey Johnson scored the game-winning goal and added an assist as the Niagara IceDogs thumped the North Bay Battalion.

Johnson's marker came at 13:55 of the second period for the IceDogs (3-1-0). Kirill Maksimov, Oliver Castleman, Billy Constantinou, Ivan Lodnia and Matthew Philip also scored for Niagara. Justin Brazeau was responsible for the Battalion's lone goal.

Colton Incze turned away 26 shots for Niagara. Christian Propp stopped 35 shots for North Bay (1-3-0).

SAGINAW, Mi. — Cedric Ralph scored a hat trick, including the overtime winner, as the Guelph Storm downed the Saginaw Spirit.

Isaac Ratcliffe, Alexey Toropchenko and Mason Primeau also scored for the Storm (2-1-1). Cole Coskey led the Spirit (1-2-1) with two goals, while Nicholas Porco, Bode Wilde and Brady Gilmour added singles.

Nico Daws turned aside 28 shots for Guelph. Ivan Prosvetov kicked out 23 shots for Saginaw.

SARNIA, Ont. — Ryan McGregor scored a little over a minute into overtime as the Sarnia Sting stayed undefeated to start their season with a win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 2-1.

Adam Ruzicka also scored for the Sting (3-0-0). Cullen McLean answered for the Greyhounds (2-1-1).

Ethan Langevin turned aside 24 shots for Sarnia. Matthew Villalta kicked out 39 shots for Sault Ste. Marie.

WINDSOR, Ont. — Rickard Hugg scored twice and added an assist as the Kitchener Rangers moved to 3-0 to start the season with a victory over the Windsor Spitfires.

Greg Meireles' marker at 9:10 of the second period stood as the game-winning goal for the Rangers. Chase Campbell also scored for Kitchener. Will Cuylle had the Spitfires' (2-2-0) lone goal.

Luke Richardson turned aside 33 shots for Kitchener. Kari Piiroinen stopped 15 shots for Windsor.

OWEN SOUND, Ont. — Nick Suzuki had a hat trick but it wasn't enough as the Owen Sound Attack fell to the Ottawa 67's.

Noel Hoefenmayer notched the game-winning goal for the 67's at 17:39 of the third period. Tye Felhaber, Kevin Bahl and Quinn Yule also scored for Ottawa (2-2-0).

Will Cranley turned away 41 shots for Ottawa. Mack Guzda made 21 saves for Owen Sound (1-3-0).
