The Toronto Argonauts issued an update on the health of quarterback Ricky Ray on Sunday.
The team says that the 38-year-old pivot remains in hospital, but has feeling in all of his extremities and reported no current concussion symptoms.
Ray will stay in hospital for further evaluation.
In his seventh season with the Boatmen, Ray was carted off the field in Saturday night's 41-7 loss to the Calgary Stampeders at BMO Field in a Grey Cup rematch.
Late in the third quarter, Ray was hit hard and sandwiched between a pair of Stamps defensive linemen. After receiving treatment on the field, he was stretchered off as the game was delayed for nearly 20 minutes.
The Argos promise a further update on Ray's health will be made soon.
A product of Sacramento State, Ray is in his 16th Canadian Football League campaign. Before joining the Argos in 2012, Ray spent nine seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos.
