SAULT STE MARIE, Ont. — MacKenzie Entwistle scored his second of the game 1:57 into overtime as the Hamilton Bulldogs recovered from blowing a three-goal lead to beat the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 4-3 on Thursday in the opener of their Ontario Hockey League championship series.

Hamilton built a 3-0 lead by the four-minute mark of the second period on goals from Entwistle, Robert Thomas and Brandon Saigeon.

But the Greyhounds replied with three consecutive goals from Barrett Hayton, Boris Katchouk and Taylor Raddysh to tie the game. Raddysh had the tying goal 5:53 into the third.

Bulldogs goaltender Kaden Fulcher stopped 28 shots. Sault Ste. Marie's Matthew Villalta made 26 saves.

The Greyhounds, the league's best team in the regular season with 116 points, host Game 2 on Saturday. Hamilton was first in the Eastern Conference with 93 points.

The winner of the best-of-seven series wins the OHL's championship trophy and advances to the Memorial Cup.
