{allcanada} Leafs promote Brandon Pridham to assistant GM

The Toronto Maple Leafs promoted Brandon Pridham to the role of assistant general manager, the team announced Wednesday.

Pridham, 44, had previously served as assistant to the GM where he assisted with salary cap analysis and collective bargaining agreement interpretation, a role he began in 2014.

"Brandon's promotion to Assistant General Manager is most deserving," maple Leafs GM Kyle Dubas said in a press release. "Working closely with him for the last four seasons has allowed me to see the value that he brings to our program across many domains."

Prior to joining the Maple Leafs, Pridham worked as the senior director of the NHL's Central Registry department as well as a senior advisor with Central Scouting.

"Brandon is a vital part of our organization today and moving forward," Dubas added. "He has earned this title with his selfless contributions to the Maple Leafs during his time here."

Pridham's promotion is the first significant front-office move from Dubas, who was himself promoted to GM of the Maple Leafs earlier this month.

The move comes one day after former GM Lou Lamoriello officially joined the New York Islanders front office and former assistant GM Mark Hunter parted ways with the Maple Leafs organization.
