{allcanada} Jonathan Drouin could return for Canadiens vs. Flames

MONTREAL—Jonathan Drouin took part in an optional skate at the Montreal Canadiens' practice facility Thursday morning and is a possibility to play against the Calgary Flames at the Bell Centre Thursday night.

Drouin, who missed Montreal's last three games with a lower-body injury, missed the last two days of practice with a virus.

Canadiens coach Claude Julien is scheduled to provide an update late Thursday afternoon on Drouin's availability and on other decisions regarding his lineup versus the Flames.

Drouin has five goals and 17 points in 25 games this season. He was one of four Canadiens players who hit the ice Thursday morning.

Defencemen Victor Mete and Joe Morrow and goaltender Antti Niemi were the others, while defenceman Shea Weber, who took a therapy day instead of participating in Wednesday's practice, did not skate.

Weber returned to the Canadiens lineup and recorded a point in Montreal's 10-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings this past Saturday after missing six games with a lower-body injury. He scored his 500th and 501st NHL points with goals in a 4-3 loss to the St. Louis Blues Tuesday.
