{allcanada} QUALIFYING: Ranger Powers To GP3R Pole

Trois-Rivières, Que -- Andrew Ranger has earned many accolades at Circuit Trois-Rivières and he added one more to his resume Saturday by winning the NASCAR Pinty's Series pole for Sunday's Le 50 Tours CanAm.

The Roxton Pond, Quebec, driver logged a time of 1 minute 06.959 seconds (82.259 mph) to claim his fourth pole a the historic Quebec road course. He heads into tomorrow's race never finishing worse than second in his previous ten starts at GP3R.

Ranger's No.27 Mopar/Pennzoil Dodge, barely missed topping the track record of 1.06.889 (82.345mph) set by Kevin Lacroix last year.

Alex Tagliani, who was fastest in practice, will start second with a time of 1:07.003 (82.205mph). Marc-Antoine Camirand will start third.

Two time defending race winner Kevin Lacroix qualified fourth, while local favourite L.P Dumoulin rounded out the top 5.

Points leader Alex Labbe finished sixth followed by 2013 GP3R winner D.J Kennington in seventh. J.F Dumoulin, Anthony Simone and David Michaud completed the top ten.
