Canadians Francoise Abanda, Peter Polansky, and Brayden Schnur have been awarded wild cards into the main draw of the Rogers Cup.
Abanda is the second-highest ranked Canadian on the WTA at 131. She'll join Eugenie Bouchard (currently ranked No. 73) in Toronto.
The 20-year-old Abanda will be playing in her fourth consecutive Rogers Cup.
Polansky and Schnur will join Milos Raonic, Vasek Pospisil, and Denis Shapovalov in Montreal for the men's event.
Polansky is currently ranked No. 115 in the world, a career high for the 29-year-old.
The Thornhill, Ont., native will be making his 10th Rogers Cup appearance.
Schnur has recently broken into the top 200 for the first time, and is currently ranked 194th in the world. The 22-year-old will be competing in just his second Rogers Cup main draw.
Other Canadians have been given entry into Rogers Cup qualifying, with a chance to compete for a spot in the main draw. They are: Philip Bester, Filip Peliwo, Frank Dancevic, Benjamin Sigouin, Bianca Andreescu, Gabriela Dabrowski, Katherine Sebov, and Aleksandra Wozniak.
