{allcanada} Senators, Dzingel agree on two-year deal to avoid arbitration

 

The Ottawa Senators have agreed on a two-year deal with forward Ryan Dzingel worth an average annual value of $1.8 million, avoiding arbitration.

In his first full NHL campaign, the 25-year-old notched 14 goals and 32 points in 81 regular-season games with 30 penalty minutes and a plus-6 rating. In 15 post-season contests during the Senators' run to the Eastern Conference Final, Dzingel recorded two goals and an assist.

The Wheaton, Ill., native was selected by Ottawa in the seventh round (204th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.
