The NHL announced the 2017 Hockey Hall of Fame class on Monday, including five players.
As expected, first-time eligible Teemu Selanne was voted in. The 46-year-old Finn played 1,451 career NHL games, scoring 684 goals and 1,457 points. The 76 goals he scored for the Winnipeg Jets in 1992-93 still stands as a rookie record.
Selanne is joined by Dave Andreychuk, Paul Kariya, Mark Recchi and Danielle Goyette.
Two builders were elected this year: Clare Drake and Jeremy Jacobs.
