DELAWARE, Ont -- D.J Kennington lead the field during Saturday's NASCAR Pinty's Series practice session for the Fast Eddie/CHOKO 250 presented by Havoline at Delaware Speedway.
The local driver from nearby St. Thomas, Ontario set a lap of 19.266 seconds (93.429mph) around the half-mile oval.
Kennington's No.17 Castrol Edge Dodge has three prior wins at Delaware Speedway and continued his trend of being fast.
Defending series champion Cayden Lapcevich finished the one-hour session in second at 19.312 (93.206) followed by rookie Adam Martin in third (19.339/93.076). Anthony Simone and Mark Dilley rounded out the top five finishers.
Alex Tagliani logged the sixth fastest time, followed by CTMP runner-up Andrew Ranger in seventh.
Points leader Kevin Lacroix finished eighth, with Alex Labbe and rookie Donald Theetge rounding out the top ten.
Qualfying is set to start at 3:30 p.m., followed by the Fast Eddie/CHOKO 250 presented by Havoline at 7 p.m.
