{allcanada} Daniel Sedin, Henrik Sedin of Canucks receive honorary college degrees

Vancouver Canucks forwards Daniel Sedin and Henrik Sedin work together on the ice with surgical precision. Now, they are officially doctors of law.

The twin brothers were given honorary degrees from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in an acknowledgement of their humanitarian commitments at the school's convocation ceremony in Surrey, British Columbia on Thursday. "We were pretty decent students, but we never thought we would get Doctor of law degrees," Daniel Sedin said in the convocation address according to the KPU Twitter account.

The Sedins earned the degrees because of their work with more than 50 charities in the Vancouver region. They even gave autographs before the convocation.

"Henrik and Daniel exemplify servant leadership," KPU president and vice chancellor Alan Davis said.
