The newest member of the Toronto Maple Leafs will need to wait before he sees his first action with the club. Forward Eric Fehr won't be in the lineup when the Maple Leafs take on the Los Angeles Kings at Staples Centre on Thursday night, Toronto coach Mike Babcock said.
Fehr was acquired prior to Wednesday's trade deadline by the Maple Leafs along with defenceman Steve Oleksy and a fourth-round pick from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for defenceman Frank Corrado. The 31-year-old Fehr joined the club for morning skate.
Fehr has six goals and 11 points in 52 games this season. He is signed through the 2017-18 campaign, earning $2 million per season.
The Leafs, who fell 3-1 to the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday, are in the middle of a three-game West Coast road trip.
They play the Anaheim Ducks Friday night.
