What do you do when the guy who led your team for 11 seasons comes back to town? Try to make him cry with a tribute video, of course.
Defenseman Shea Weber got a little dose of nostalgia in the first period of the Montreal Canadiens game against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday when his old team played a video full of memories from his time in Nashville.
Predators fans gave Weber, who was traded to the Canadiens on June 29, 2016 for defenseman P.K. Subban, a standing ovation during the tribute that included a look back at his accomplishments on the ice and his efforts in the community.
There was a lot to get in during the near two-minute video and it was clear the tribute really touched Weber, who got a little emotional watching the presentation.
Weber later scored the tying goal for the Canadiens with 4:26 left in the game, and Montreal 2-1 won in overtime.
