SENATORS (26-15-6) at PANTHERS (21-19-10)
7:30 p.m. ET; FS-F, RDS2, TSN5, NHL.TV
Senators team scope
Goaltender Mike Condon will tie an Ottawa Senators record with his 25th consecutive game when he starts against the Florida Panthers on Tuesday. Condon will equal Damian Rhodes, who played 25 straight in 1995-96. Condon's run began Dec. 1 when he started in a 3-2 overtime loss against the Philadelphia Flyers. He has started all but two games since then as Craig Anderson was away from the team to be with his wife, Nicholle, as she underwent cancer treatment and Andrew Hammond was out because of an ankle injury. Anderson rejoined the Senators for practice Monday and took part in the morning skate Tuesday. Anderson and coach Guy Boucher said there was no timetable for his return to action. Hammond was activated from injured reserve Thursday. Condon, who will be making his 15th consecutive start, is 4-0-2 in the past six games. "I just focus on what's at hand right now and that's the Panthers," Condon said. "I'm just focused on the routine and perfecting that and taking care of that. We'll move to the next thing as soon as this game is over."
Panthers team scope
Goaltender James Reimer will be scratched from his scheduled start against the Senators to be with his wife as she prepares to deliver the couple's first child. Reimer missed the morning skate Tuesday after calling coach Tom Rowe at 4:30 a.m. to inform him of the impending birth. Roberto Luongo will get the start and make his fifth attempt at his 450th NHL victory. Luongo, the fifth-winningest goalie in NHL history, is 0-3-1 in his past four starts. Reimer and Luongo split starts the past six games. Sam Brittain will be recalled from Springfield of the American Hockey League to serve as Luongo's backup. In his second game back after missing nine games with a lower-body injury, Nick Bjugstad will skate on a line with Jaromir Jagr and Jared McCann. Bjugstad began the last game before the All-Star break, a 2-1 overtime victory against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday, skating on the fourth line. "We just used the game the other night to get some game rhythm going and get his conditioning up a little bit," Rowe said. "He's a top-six guy so we figured putting him up there with [Jagr] gives us two big wingers and a centerman that can make plays with him."

Status report
Borowiecki took part in the morning skate but Boucher said he would sit out because he still hasn't gained back the five pounds he lost while battling the flu and because of the way Claesson has played. Neil will be back in the lineup after being a healthy scratch in the 3-2 overtime loss against the Calgary Flames on Thursday. Lazar will be a healthy scratch for the first time this season. "I wanted Chris back in," Boucher said. "I look at their lineup, they've got some tough guys there. They're home. You want to make sure on the road that the physical side is there. Our last game wasn't hard, wasn't physical enough. [Neil] deserves to get back in and I have a choice to make. It's nothing specific about Lazar not playing; it's a question of numbers now." … Rowe said the Panthers would be placing Thompson and McIlrath on waivers. Thornton will be in the lineup for a 10th consecutive game, his longest active stretch of the season. Huberdeau and Barkov, who practiced Monday for the first time since being injured, wore yellow, non-contact jerseys during the morning skate.
