DUCKS (17-12-5) at SENATORS (19-11-3)

7:30 p.m. ET; RDS2, TSN5, PRIME, NHL.TV

Ducks team scope

The Anaheim Ducks are coming off a 5-1 loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday in which they were outshot 34-13. "This is a good team," Ottawa Senators coach Guy Boucher said. "They just got beat so we're getting their A game, maybe their A+ game, so we're aware of that." The Ducks are finishing a six-game road trip in which they are 2-3-0 in the first five games. Anaheim forward Andrew Cogliano moved into fifth place on the consecutive games played list Tuesday with 738, one more than Jay Bouwmeester played with the Florida Panthers, Calgary Flames and St. Louis Blues from March 6, 2004 to Nov. 22, 2014. Craig Ramsay is fourth place with 776 games for the Buffalo Sabres from March 27, 1973 to Feb. 10, 1983. Anaheim's power play is second in the NHL at 24.3 percent (27-for-111); 15th on the road (12-for-63, 19 percent). The Ducks scored three power-play goals in a 5-1 win against the Senators in Anaheim Dec. 11. Anaheim forward Rickard Rakell needs one point for 100 in his NHL career. Goaltender John Gibson is expected to start.

Senators team scope

The Ottawa Senators will be trying for their fourth straight win but they may be without forward Mark Stone, who missed the morning skate with illness and will be a game-time decision. "He's just not feeling good so we told him to stay home and at least give it a chance that he might show up tonight," coach Guy Boucher said. If Stone can't play, Boucher said he will dress seven defensemen with Fredrik Claesson going into the lineup. Goaltender Mike Condon will start. He is 5-2-2 in his past nine games (eight starts and one relief appearance after Andrew Hammond sustained a high ankle sprain against the New York Islanders Dec. 18). Hammond's status is week-to-week. Matt O'Connor will back up Condon; Craig Anderson is on personal leave for the foreseeable future. Ottawa's power play is 29th in the League at home (7-for-59, 11.9 percent).
