CHARLOTTETOWN — Kameron Kielly scored 1:04 into overtime to lead the Charlottetown Islanders past the Shawinigan Cataractes 5-4 on Friday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Chris Chaddock tied it 4-4 for Charlottetown (14-10-1) at the 13:21 mark of the third period to force overtime. Matthew Grouchy, Jake Barter and Pascal Aquin all scored in the first period. Matthew Welsh made 29 for the win.
Brandon Gignac, Samuel Blier and Jonathan Deschamps had goals in the third period for Shawinigan (17-6-1), and Vincent Senez opened scoring in the first. Zachary Bouthillier stopped 40 shots for the Cataractes.
The Islanders were 0 for 2 on the power play and Shawinigan was 2 for 4.

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Nathan Noel had a hat trick to lead the Sea Dogs past Quebec.
Mathieu Joseph also scored as Saint John (16-6-3) extended a seven-game point streak.

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Alexandre Goulet struck twice, including the third-period winner, as the Tigres slipped past Rouyn-Noranda.
Ivan Kosorenkov had back-to-back goals in the second for Victoriaville (13-11-2) and Mathieu Ayotte chipped in as well.
Antoine Waked had a pair of goals for the Huskies (16-6-3), while Jeremy Lauzon and William Cyr also found the back of the net.

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. — David Henley had the winner early in the second period as Val-d'Or topped the Voltigeurs.
