{allcanada} QMJHL: Drakkar beat Armada in overtime

BOISBRIAND, Que. — A pair of goals less than two minutes apart was all the Baie-Comeau Drakkar needed.

Vincent Deslauriers scored in overtime to lead Baie-Comeau to an upset of the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 2-1 on Saturday afternoon in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

D'Artagnan Joly tied it 1-1 with 27 seconds left to play in the third period for the Drakkar (8-13-3), then Deslauriers had the winner 44 seconds into overtime for the win. Antoine Samuel made 21 saves in Baie-Comeau's net.

Alexandre Alain opened scoring early in the second period for the Armada (17-6-3), while Francis Leclerc stopped 37 shots.

The Drakkar didn't score on their one power play and Blainville-Boisbriand went 0 for 3 with the man advantage.

Baie-Comeau has the second worst record in the QMJHL, while the overtime loss keeps the Armada's four-game point streak alive and Blainville-Boisbriand atop the league standings.
