7 p.m. ET; SN, MSG+, NHL.TV
Oilers team scope
The Edmonton Oilers, 0-2-1 in their past three games, will debut new lines against the New York Islanders at Barclays Center. Coach Todd McLellan has shuffled left wings Patrick Maroon, Milan Lucic and Benoit Pouliot. Maroon, who had been skating with Leon Draisaitl and Jesse Puljujarvi, will instead be on a line with Connor McDavid and Jordan Eberle. "We played together a fair amount last year and found a little success," McDavid said. "We're hoping for the same." Lucic, who had been with McDavid and Eberle, will be with Draisaitl and Zack Kassian. Pouliot will be on a line with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Puljujarvi. The fourth line of Mark Letestu, Anton Lander and Tyler Pitlick will remain. McLellan said it has been the Oilers' most consistent line, albeit in limited minutes. Lucic, McDavid and Eberle were a combined minus-10 in a 5-3 loss at the New York Rangers on Thursday. McDavid has one assist and is minus-6 in the past three games. "We need some individuals to get jump started and pick their play up," McLellan said.
