Sidney Crosby will not be in the lineup when Team Canada faces the United States World Cup in pre-tournament action Saturday night.
Head coach Mike Babcock said he was happy with the performance of Crosby's play with Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron in Friday night's loss to the U.S. and that Crosby isn't injured.
Defenceman Jake Muzzin will also be held out of the game, with Corey Perry and Jay Bouwmeester getting a chance to play.
Claude Giroux and Logan Couture are both expected to play despite having to leave Friday night's contest temporarily with injuries.
Saturday night's game starts at 7 p.m. ET.
