Now this is an Olympic power couple.
In Rio last week, Ashton Eaton won the gold in the decathlon. His wife, Brianne Theisen-Eaton took the bronze in the heptathlon.
Perhaps it's not all that surprising. The couple, married since 2013, live together. They plan their nutrition together. They even train together with the same coach.
"It just works for us," Eaton told PEOPLE on the last day of the Olympics. "We push each other to be as good as possible."
"It's just part of our relationship," Theisen-Eaton added. "It's what we do – and it's not weird at all for us."
On the track, the couple doesn't really get involved in each other's training. Off the track, however, is a different story. "Our coach makes sure we're checking off the boxes in our training, says Theisen-Eaton. "But away from the track, we definitely help each other. 'Make sure you're getting enough sleep. Make sure you're drinking enough water.' Stuff like that."
PEOPLE sat down with the Eatons in Rio on the last day of the Olympics – watching the end of the gold medal soccer match in the Visa Everywhere lounge.
With two Olympians in the house, everything becomes a contest. (They even have their own Visa commercial that highlights their competitiveness.)
"We do compete in everything," laughs Eaton. "Like that whole part of brushing our teeth, that's based on real life. We had gotten in from a late flight one night and I brushed my teeth really fast. I was in bed saying, 'Ha ha! I win.' And Brianne was rolling her eyes."
"He didn't brush his teeth good," says Theisen-Eaton. "Brushing your teeth quicker is not a good thing."
When these two Olympians have a child, they clearly want the child to be a runner, right?
"Ha! No! Absolutely not," says Eaton.
"He makes it sound like it's a miserable thing," says Theisen-Eaton. "I think like any parent, you want them to be happy."
"I'm not saying sports and track is bad, but I want them to figure out what they want to do," says Eaton. "No pressure. Maybe we'll just hide all the track stuff."
"We've talked about whether to even tell them all the things we have done," says Theisen-Eaton. "I suppose they could easily Google us..."
So when are the children coming along?
"When the time is right, we'll know it," says Eaton. "All in good time."
