Free-agent forward Matt Martin signed a four-year, $10 million contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday.

Martin, 27, scored 10 goals and added nine assists for 19 points over 80 games with the New York Islanders in 2015-16, his seventh year with the club.

The Windsor native has spent his entire career with the Isles after they selected him in the fifth-round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
