Montreal Alouettes receiver Duron Carter will learn his fate on Monday or Tuesday when the league hands down it's ruling for Thursday night's incident against the Ottawa Redblacks.

Carter and Ottawa defensive back Jerrell Gavins were ejected from the Redblacks' 28-13 victory after a wild melee at the Redblacks bench in the third quarter.

After scoring a touchdown, Carter walked by the Ottawa bench and bumped into head coach Rick Campbell and knocking him over. The Redblacks rushed to Campbell's defence, as Carter continued his celebration to his own bench, which is on the same side.

The Alouettes fined Carter an undisclosed amount on Friday for conduct detrimental to the club.

Alouettes slotback Nik Lewsi took to Twitter on Saturday to suggest coach Campbell should share in the blame.

Campbell was standing several steps on the field when Carter made contact and many felt he may have embellished the situation.
