P.K. Subban is no longer a member of the Montreal Canadiens.
In a blockbuster trade Wednesday, the defenseman was sent to the Nashville Predators for defenseman Shea Weber. Subban was a fan favorite over his six-plus seasons in Montreal.
Here is a timeline of Subban's years with the Canadiens:
June 23, 2007: Subban is selected with the 43rd pick in the NHL Draft. He remains with Belleville of the Ontario Hockey League before signing an entry-level deal with the Canadiens in May 2009.
Feb. 12, 2010: He records his first point in his NHL debut, getting an assist in a 3-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers.
April 26, 2010: Subban is called up for the Canadiens' Eastern Conference First Round series against the Washington Capitals. He gets his first playoff point with an assist in Game 1, his first playoff game.
April 30, 2010: He scores his first NHL goal against the Flyers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Second Round.
March 20, 2011: Subban has a hat trick, becoming the first rookie defenseman in Canadiens history to do so, and gets an assist in an 8-1 win against the Minnesota Wild.
Jan. 28, 2013: After holding out through the Canadiens' first four games of the lockout-shortened season, Subban signs a two-year, $5.75 million contract to remain with Montreal.
June 15, 2013: He wins the Norris Trophy for best defenseman. Subban has 11 goals and 27 assists in the lockout-shortened season.
Feb. 23, 2014: Subban wins a gold medal at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia with Canada, alongside Weber.
Aug. 2, 2014: Subban agrees to terms on an eight-year, $72 million contract following an arbitration hearing, giving him the highest average annual salary among NHL defensemen.
Sept. 15, 2014: He is named an alternate captain of the Canadiens, with Max Pacioretty, Andrei Markov and Tomas Plekanec.
Jan. 31, 2015: Subban gets his 200th point with an assist in a 1-0 win against the Capitals.
June 29, 2016: The Canadiens trade Subban to the Nashville Predators for Weber.
